    Thruline Marketing located in Lenexa, Kansas is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team!

     

    The Senior Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to reconcile and analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and provide key support in the maintenance of the general ledger and related output reports. The Senior Accountant should bring best practices to Thruline to assist the Controller and the team be more efficient.  The Senior Accountant is expected to identify, create, adapt and implement streamlined processes and procedures as business needs change.

    Responsibilities

    • Reconcile, analyze, compile, and review financial information and accounts to determine accuracy of financial transactions
    • Prepare financial accruals and prepaid entries and related variance analysis, schedules, and documentation
    • Analyze, track and reconcile operating expense, capital expenditure and fixed assets
    • Review results and assist business unit managers and stakeholders in understanding financial information for monthly close cycle
    • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
    • Participate with management to recommend and develop efficient use of resources and procedures in the financial closing process
    • Ensure written procedures and policies are documented
    • Lead and represent the Finance team on projects and in meetings
    • Prepare workpapers and assist in financial audits
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education: Four-year college degree with a major in accounting and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.  CPA Preferred

     

    Experience:  Minimum of five years’ experience in a senior accounting position.

    • Proficient in creating, manipulating, and analyzing data in MS Excel, using formulas and pivot tables
    • Added value for Microsoft Dynamics AX experience
    • Detail oriented, experienced in accounting processes, and able to meet deadlines
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clerical staff, non-financial staff and operating managers
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills
    • High intellectual capacity and a burning desire to learn

     

    Technical skills:

    • Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.  Proficient in creating, manipulating, and analyzing data in MS Excel, using formulas and pivot tables
    • Microsoft Dynamics AX experience

     

    Management:  Good time management skills with the ability to multi-task

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
